Pregnancy (Formerly ACCESS) and Adoption Services Sees Increased Need

Pregnancy (Formerly ACCESS) and Adoption Services has seen an increased number of clients since March, the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many of these clients are in crises due to lost jobs or income. The number of clients needing diapers from the Diaper Bank has also increased. The Diaper Bank has given out more diapers than ever before.

Since April 1, 2020, Pregnancy and Adoption Services has only been open 3 days a week compared to the usual 5 days per week.  In that time, they have distributed an average of 10,100 diapers per month and have seen an average of 14 abortion vulnerable clients per month in office visits (for pregnancy testing and ultrasounds).

Of the 14 abortion-vulnerable clients,35% of those clients were abortion minded, stated their intent was to have an abortion, and  55% of those clients were abortion vulnerable.

Of those clients, 93% of them chose life instead of an abortion.
