Please pray for us

The gift of prayer is always welcome. We thank you for remembering the poor and vulnerable in our world today. We are grateful for your solidarity in prayer!

Prayer of Saint Francis

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is discord, harmony;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master, Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

A Prayer to Our Lady of Prompt Succor, Patroness of the City of New Orleans and the State of Louisiana

Our Lady of Prompt Succor, hasten to help us.

O Queen of the Universe,
Our Lady of Prompt Succor,
sovereign full of kindness,
you are the advocate of sinners,
a haven of safety to the shipwrecked;
you are the resource of the world,
the ransom of captives,
the health of the infirm,
the consolation of the afflicted,
the refuge and salvation of all on earth.
We beseech you to grant us the help of your prayers,
which incline our Heavenly Father to forgive our sins
and grant our petitions in all the necessities of this life,
prayers which obtain for us an abundance of graces
to receive the pardon of our faults
and arrive at the practice of virtue…

Amen.
