PACE (Program for All Inclusive Care of the Elderly) Greater New Orleans hosted Heart to Heart: Caregiver’s Appreciation and Discussion on Thursday, February 11 on Facebook Live.
The event was hosted by PACE social worker, Joanne Ault, and PACE occupational therapist Trisha Ventura. Joann and Trisha spoke about the importance of caregivers taking care of themselves to better care for their loved ones. They also hosted a live Q&A and responded live to specific questions and concerns.
PACE is an affiliated Ministry of Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans. The program promotes the health, independence and dignity of senior citizens. PACE’s mission is to enable frail older adults to live in their homes and in the community as long as medically and socially feasible. It is a comprehensive healthcare program which includes an Adult Day Health Centers, primary and specialty physician care, medications, rehabilitative therapy, personal care services and transportation. The majority of services are provided on site with a focus on preventative care.
