When Cliff Cardone welcomes a new client, he’s not only providing for their legal needs, he’s giving them an opportunity to improve their community. Through the Cardone Cares program, the Cardone Law firm donates a portion of their legal fees to select local charities, including Catholic Charities.
“I wanted to find a way to give back to the community that has done so much for me,” Cardone says. “Having adopted two children through Catholic Charities, I have been a supporter for many years, but I wanted to find a way to also involve my clients in the process.”
Cliff formally launched the program earlier this year and says clients are excited about the firm’s philanthropic initiative. “My clients are taken aback,” Cliff reflects. “They’re thrilled that they can choose the charity and that the donation’s made in their name.”
Corporate giving in the U.S. is an increasing trend, growing by 13.7% in 2014 from 2013, according to the National Philanthropic Trust. “It’s important for businesses to develop philanthropy models because of the many needs our community has, especially after the catastrophic losses we’ve suffered,” Cliff believes.
Cardone Cares is focused on giving locally, providing for the needs of the New Orleans metropolitan area and especially organizations that support children. Cliff notes, “my clients are excited to be able to designate their gift to Catholic Charities, in particular, because of the variety of programs within the organization.”
Forming partnerships to better address the community’s needs, Cardone Cares, Catholic Charities and our many supporters share the desire to provide for the children, families and individuals in our region. To learn more about the Cardone Cares program visit the website here.
