CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: Isaac Relief in Braithwaite

Please join us for four upcoming days of service to assist those recovering from Hurricane Isaac in Braithwaite. Volunteers ages 18 and up are needed to assist with distribution and delivery of supplies and food at our “Comfort Station” at Assumption Mission on Saturday, October 20 & 27 and Wednesday, October 24 & 31.  Details and link to sign up below!

Volunteer Days of Service in Braithwaite

Where:       Assumption of Our Lady Mission      6951 Hwy 39        Braithwaite, LA 70040

50 minutes from downtown New Orleans

When:              Saturday, October 20 & 27 and Wednesday, October 24 & 31

Time:               Arrive at church 9 am       Return to church 3pm

What:               Work in small teams on storm-related projects.  Distributing food and cleaning supplies at tent located in front of Assumption Church. Delivering cleaning supplies and food to homeowners.

Who:                Adults 18 years of age and older.

Dress:              Volunteers are asked to wear solid closed-toe shoes. Sunscreen and hand sanitizer are suggested.

Bring own lunch/snack and water.
