Catholic Charities’ Health Guardians have continued to provide critical support during the shelter in place orders and the global pandemic. The Health Guardians staff have facilitated improved shelters for individuals struggling due to loss of jobs and housing.
Health Guardians worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone in need was given housing or passed to a partner agency that could properly handle their case. Health Guardians continue to provide compassionate service to Catholic Charities and the community, including the homeless.
Health Guardians of Catholic Charities is an intensive and integrated care model that strives to remove and address any and all barriers (social, economic and health-related) to receiving effective health care. It incorporates the many health and social services provided by Catholic Charities and its partner organizations to help keep these patients achieve a better quality of life.
