  • Your donation will mean supporting a local organization that best understands local needs. We have been serving our community since 1727!

  • Catholic Charities is one of the most effective human service organizations in the southern United States. Every dollar given to the ACA is leveraged many times more through contributed goods and services.

  • The ACA is a call to action. The words of Archbishop Philip M. Hannon, written as an ACA appeal after Hurricane Betsy, ring true in our post-Katrina world:
    • "Time moves so very fast and there is so much to be done. They are asking - has the city lost its reason for continued existence? We reply - not if the people posses great courage and compassion."

Did you know?

  • Catholic Charities was the largest local health and human service provider in Southeast Louisiana immediately after and the months following Katrina. We continue to be a leader in providing quality of life services to our community.

  • Catholic Charities is an efficient and fiscally responsible organization and has been rated a 4-Star Charity on charitynavigator.org.

  • Catholic Charities has over 900 staff and is one of the region's largest employers. We are proud to employ people of all faiths and backgrounds.

  • Catholic Charities provides services in the eight civil parishes of the Archdiocese of New Orleans including: Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. John, St. Tammany, and Washington. Our food and nutrition programs combine to cover virtually the entire State of Louisiana.
