Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans will offer a series of free financial education classes for residents of St. John Parish beginning Thursday, Aug. 24. The program will help St. John residents learn to set financial goals, maximize their income, follow a budget, understand credit reports and scores and prepare for major life events, organizers said.

Classes will be offered at South Central Louisiana Technical College, 181 Regala Park Rd. in Reserve.

The four, hour-long lessons will cover a variety of financial topics, including:

The financial education classes are free to St. John residents with funding from the St. John United Way. To register contact Bambilyn Smith at bsmith@ccano.org or call (985) 652-0021.
