(New Orleans, La.) – Orleans Shoring will visit Catholic Charities’ St. John the Baptist Community Center today at 1 p.m. to give a hot meal and warm weather gear to 100 clients and homeless people living in the area.

            This is the second year Orleans Shoring has partnered with Catholic Charities to help make life for people living on the streets better during the holiday season.

            Catholic Charities houses several parish and community-based ministries at St. John the Baptist, including Community Staffing Services, a temporary job service for the unemployed; our Homeless Employment Program for the homeless; case management services; and a Head Start Center.
