Archbishop’s Community Appeal
The Archbishop’s Community Appeal (ACA) is an annual, volunteer-driven fundraising campaign which supports the work of Catholic Charities. This year the ACA is led by Archbishop Gregory Aymond and the 2011 Chairperson, David F. Andignac.
The ACA has a long tradition in New Orleans. Since its inception in 1965, the ACA has been building better communities – person by person and family by family. Our story began as a response to Hurricane Betsy.
Now, 47 years later and in a world dramatically altered by Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Ike, and the recent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, our efforts remain the same: through housing, healthcare, education, and emergency response we are changing lives for the better.
Your donation to the ACA ensures that Catholic Charities will continue to be a source of hope and refuge for the most vulnerable in our community. Post-Katrina, the programs of Catholic Charities touched the lives of over 700,000 people. With your support, we will continue to make a difference in the lives of those who most need it.
